Thank You, Jiro — Our Store Manager
As I mentioned last October, Jiro was diagnosed with acute kidney failure.
He underwent surgery and had been bravely fighting ever since, but on February 15th, he peacefully passed away.
In my previous post, “Store Manager Jiro Gets Constipated — And Then...”, I wrote about the beginning of this difficult time.
For about eight years, he worked with us.
With his uniquely charming personality, he brightened the workplace every single day.
Over the past few years, I’ve been spending more time drawing, and I’ve created several illustrations of Jiro.
The one above is one of them.
It’s always the same pose, but I love it — so I think I’ll keep drawing him that way.
I had also been sharing videos on YouTube under the title “Gotsukawa Jiro.”
The story is still unfinished, and I’m not sure yet how to continue it.
Perhaps, once I’ve had a little more time to settle my feelings, I may return to it.
