I’ve Been Diagnosed with Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSC)3
Treatment for the condition that causes my vision to appear distorted has been progressing.
At first, I thought I might need some kind of surgery or other medical procedure, but it turned out to be much simpler: I just take medication every day.

Though I do forget to take it once in a while.
The medication on the right, Diamox, is supposed to reduce the swelling inside my eye. The one on the left, Aspara Potassium, helps maintain my electrolyte balance.
At my two-month checkup, the medication seemed to be working. The scans showed that the swelling had decreased, and I felt that my blurry vision had become a little clearer.
By the four-month mark, the test results showed no significant changes. However, subjectively, I felt that while the distortion remains, the center of my vision has become clearer than before.
Unfortunately, I was told that the distortion itself is unlikely to go away. Still, I will continue taking the medication for another two months to see how much further improvement is possible.
Even if this turns out to be as much recovery as I can expect, I am very happy that there has been some improvement. The side effects have also been quite manageable so far.
I'll share another update once there is more progress to report.
